Wetlands - STRAINS

In-Stream Decontamination system is a small-scale collaborative project constructed near the southern inlet of Saul Kere.  This small-scale intervention “model Nallah”, approximately 2 m wide and 8 m long has been constructed next to the STP at Saul Kere. Part of the sewage entering the STP is diverted into the system. The study was conducted for a year. Samples were collected at the inlet, different points in the system and at the outlet. These were analysed for various parameters. A detailed report and conclusion can be found here.
