Citizen Lakes Dashboard
The Citizen Lakes Dashboard project was set up by a partnership between ATREE (http://www.atree.org/), Biome Environmental Trust and Yuktix Technologies (https://www.yuktix.com/), funded by Oracle India Pvt Ltd. The objective of this project is to create an open-source platform for lake data that can inform citizens’ groups on how much water is actually entering and leaving the lakes, as well as information on lake water quality. The public can access this data to trigger informed conversations and play a role in the restoration and maintenance of lakes. MAPSAS and Jalaposhan facilitated the collection of data at Kaikondrahalli and Jakkur lakes, respectively.
As part of this project, Biome documented some of the activities carried out to collect data.
