BIOME setup a stall at the Kaikondrahalli Kere Habba to highlight good water management practices followed by communities . BIOME also helped organize a “Community Connect” event to get citizen groups to come together and share their experiences on Lake rejuvenation. The lakes represented were Jakkur Lake – Jala Poshan group by Dr Annapurna Kamath, Varthur Lake by Elan, Devarabeesanahalli Lake by Shalini, Halanayakanahalli Lake by the Panchayat Development Officer Mr Ramesh. Ram Prasad from Friends of Lakes as well as Jala Mitra spoke on how all the lakes on the Eastern part of Bangalore connect to the Dakshina Pinakini river which eventually flows to the Bay Of Bengal. Avinash from BIOME helped thread this event together
